The Beaver Builder team has been working on a new version 2.8 that is slated for release soon. It will include Flexbox and CSS Grid support, some global styles, and other features. They also released a Beaver wireframe kit via their Assistant Pro marketplace. It is good to see them starting to modernize the builder, though they still have a ways to go to catch up.

Five for the Future is a WordPress project program that encourages companies and individuals to contribute 5% of their resources or time to WordPress. While the program is very successful in that a number of organizations sponsor employee involvement, the program hasn’t gotten a lot of organizational attention in the past.
At a recent Community Summit a team met to review the program and identified some suggestions to help make the program more impactful. These are summarized in this make blog article.

Here is a case study about the Rolling Stone magazine moving to WordPress. One thing I noted is that a big piece of the migration is leveraging enterprise level processes. Interesting that there was no mention of Gutenberg.
