The Beaver Builder team has been working on a new version 2.8 that is slated for release soon. It will include Flexbox and CSS Grid support, some global styles, and other features. They also released a Beaver wireframe kit via their Assistant Pro marketplace. It is good to see them starting to modernize the builder, though they still have a ways to go to catch up.

Matt Mullenweg shares about a new “game” at Automattic and mentions a shift in focus for WordPress com and Woo Express. It is kind of cryptic, but suggests they are adopting to the ecosystem.

The Updraft team has made another purchase, acquiring the WPGetAPI plugin, which allows you to connect to any REST API, format and display the returned data on your WordPress website.
