In this video I look at WP Cron and the free WP Crontrol plugin. Many users don’t even know that WordPress has an event scheduler, how it works, or its limitations. However, this is good information to have, if only for troubleshooting and site maintenance purposes. The WP Crontrol plugin provides a nice interface for managing WP Cron.

Joshua Gugun Siagian created an implementation of Tailwind CSS 4 for WordPress called WindPress (previously called Yabe Siul). WindPress is lightweight, fast, and compiles in the browser, so no calls to an external server are needed. The developer has just released a free version on the WordPress plugin directory for Gutenberg, Greenshift, Kadence, and Timber. Builders such as Bricks, Breakdance, Oxygen and others require the pro version.

For plugin developers – the Gutenberg plugin has introduced the ability to register block templates using API calls which makes it easier to include templates in plugins. This feature is scheduled for inclusion in WordPress 6.7.
