This is a nice video about working with synced patterns. It shows you how you can now add override limits to patterns for headings, paragraphs, images, and buttons, which helps to “client proof” designs.

This graph showing code commits to Gutenberg is pretty telling. From 455 commits during the week of December 8th to only 88 commits the week of March 30th. The decline is largely due to Automattic sponsorship being discontinued.

The 200th version of the Gutenberg plugin was released and has updates that will be included in the next version of core in March. There were a number of enhancements including improvements to the Style Book and pattern suggestions. What caught my eye was the ability to include hooks in content, which has been a feature only of PHP based themes up to now.
