This is an interesting collection of WordPress stats covering a range of topics.

This is Noel Tock’s presentation at WordCamp Asia. Noel works for Human Made, a top tier agency focusing on enterprise solutions. The first half of the presentation is an eye-opener and must watch if you are interested in WordPress market share.

Automattic has changed the JetPack Stats feature from free to paid. It is always unhappy when a freemium product claws back features that were free to add them to the pro version. According to Davinder Singh Kainth’s newsletter, the WP Weekly, users are submitting 1 star reviews on WP org in protest.

I noticed some changes in the w3techs monthly report related to WordPress. I compared February and April’s reports. Here are some changes:

• WordPress market share increased 1/10th of a percent to 43.3%. This was down or stagnate for a long time, so first recent increase.
• Version 6.x adoption is up almost 2%.
• Elementor’s share of WordPress is up 0.8% since February.
• WooCommerce is up 1/10th of a percent.
• WPBakery is down slightly.
• This month they added Bricks and Breakdance to the tracking.

Imran Siddiq released a video showing a number of ways to optimize your WordPress page loading times. I know he worked hard on this one and there are a plenty of tips, including code snippets. He optimizes an Elementor site, but includes versions for non-Elementor users.

GTMetrix is doing away with its guest mode and changing its plans.

This case study details how Brainstorm Force, the makers of the Astra theme, used Microsoft Clarity to improve their website. Clarity is a behavior analytics tool from Microsoft. Initially I saw Clarity as a competitor to Google Analytics, but today it can integrate with Google Analytics and you can show GA data inside of your Clarity dashboard.

Fines in Europe over the use of Google Analytics! Last week there was a post from the SEO Slim team on Google Analytics alternatives. These court judgements remind me of the findings not too long ago about Google fonts, which lead many to start self-hosting them.
