Automattic has changed the JetPack Stats feature from free to paid. It is always unhappy when a freemium product claws back features that were free to add them to the pro version. According to Davinder Singh Kainth’s newsletter, the WP Weekly, users are submitting 1 star reviews on WP org in protest.

This case study details how Brainstorm Force, the makers of the Astra theme, used Microsoft Clarity to improve their website. Clarity is a behavior analytics tool from Microsoft. Initially I saw Clarity as a competitor to Google Analytics, but today it can integrate with Google Analytics and you can show GA data inside of your Clarity dashboard.

Fines in Europe over the use of Google Analytics! Last week there was a post from the SEO Slim team on Google Analytics alternatives. These court judgements remind me of the findings not too long ago about Google fonts, which lead many to start self-hosting them.
