Toolset just released an update for WordPress 6.6 (which is due out later this month). It is nice to see them being proactive.

Toolset has a maintenance release with PHP and WordPress 6.5 compatibility fixes, as well as some minor enhancements. It looks like it may not be rolling out via automatic updates, so you may need to manually initiate the update from within the admin.

Toolset released a big update to Access, the plugin for controlling permissions. They also had some minor updates to Blocks and Views. These updates improve performance and provide better comparability with various third party plugins. It is good to see the Toolset team start to update the suite again.

Toolset has a compatibility update for 6.4. It also contains a few small enhancements. They recommend updating Toolset before updating to 6.4 if you are using Toolset Blocks or Toolset Forms.

Here is a comparison from Crocoblock of JetEngine and Toolset. One thing I noticed is that the Toolset Views is only mentioned in relation to Gutenberg. Code-based Views is still considered a powerful and flexible way to work with dynamic data, but Toolset labels it as legacy and only shows it for download for “older sites created with shortcodes,” so yes, it is disappearing.
