There has been a growing movement for some WordPress product companies to collaborate on promoting WordPress through some joint, neutral, marketing initiatives. Miriam Schwab from Elementor has been one of the proponents of this idea. A meeting was held at WPUS to discuss this and move it forward.
The post on the Make blog is a great summary of the discussion and there are a number of good suggestions. I like the idea of focusing less on marketshare and more on community engagement. I also like the focus on promoting WordPress in education.

The WordPress Five for the Future website has been redone using Gutenberg. It looks pretty sharp. I imagine it was done with core blocks and extra CSS.

Barbara and Mark Crowell are a husband and wife team who have been in the web design business for a number of years. In this live stream they talk about their journey and changes in the industry. Their discussion of the current state of the market and how they are adapting is pretty interesting. Leads from search have largely dried up and they are doing more white label work.

WordPress market share seems to be on the decline. Miriam Schwab of the Elementor team has suggested that large WordPress companies join together to form a consortium to help market WordPress.
