I’m excited about the possibilities of the Fediverse. This is an interesting development, a foundation to promote a decentralized web and promote the use of ActivityPub, a protocol developed by W3C.

Bricks Builder beta 1.11 was released. It includes phase 2 of Query Filters, a new Back to Top element, a new Rating element, accessibility improvements for accordion and tab elements, and more.

The public alpha of Divi 5 has been released. It is not yet feature complete and has not been bug checked, but it is the first opportunity to give Divi 5 a spin on a testing site.

The Elementor team is continuing to expand their offerings. They are now offering services for things like site migration, setting up lead magnets, or malware cleanup.

The plugin review team has released a plugin that runs a number of checks on plugins to help identify the types of issues found during the plugin review process. This helps plugin authors find and fix issues prior to submitting them for review.

The Query Loop block is one of the most powerful core blocks. I like how they released support for Post lists with a flexible loop block instead of a more monolithic block with just a few set layouts. WordPress 6.7 is due out in November and will include a number of refinements and improvements to the Query Loop block to make it easier and more intuitive.

The Core Framework version 1.6 was released with a number of enhancements and fixes. The utility class generation for typography and spacing was made more flexible, they added the ability to disable color groups, and added the ability to copy and paste between breakpoints, among other features.

The well respected WordPress security company, Patchstack, received $5M in funding from Emilia Capital. Also, Joost de Valk, co-founder of Yoast will be joining their board.
