Advanced Themer 2.0 Beta is available for testing. Here is a video that goes over the updates. There is a new color manager and a new class manager, among other features. Note that the video is long, but there are video jumps in the description.

IconicWP, makers of WooCommerce plugins, announced that they are moving from Freemius to WooCommerce. It makes sense as now they can use their own products in their store and checkout. In the announcement they mentioned that the switch provides a more streamlined user experience and enhanced security.

Meta Box now has an integration with Divi. You can use Meta Box custom fields either with the Divi dynamic data options in Divi’s modules, or Meta Box provides two Divi modules for more flexibility.

After a discussion about the performance hit that translation adds to sites, the Performance Team has prepared a new plugin, Performant Translations. They intend it as a “feature” plugin for testing and use and hopefully eventual inclusion in core.
From the article, the plugin converts translation files to PHP files so they can be handled by OPcache. It appears that this greatly speeds up sites with translations. The files revert if the plugin is removed.
