In the latest ACF live stream they demoed how the upcoming ACF 6.4 will support WooCommerce HPOS. This is the high performance Woo that uses custom database tables. It is great to see that ACF will be able to be used in that context.

A prototype was released showing how to create Custom Post Types and custom fields using the block editor and then display them using the Site Editor. While the project is still new, it demonstrates the thinking and possible direction for Gutenberg. Very cool. In this video we take a look at how this is currently working. It may be some time before this makes it into a WordPress core release, if it every does.

One of the goals of the third phase of Gutenberg is editor collaboration. Automattic has sponsored Kevin Jahns, who has worked to add collaboration to other tools, to work on adding collaborative editing to Gutenberg. He developed a framework for building collaborative apps called Yjs.
