Matt Mullenweg’s keynote presentation from WordCamp Europe has been released. It has some interesting topics. The WordPress Playground got a number of mentions. Overall, one of the main take-aways is that he wants to open WordPress for more innovation and creativity.

This is a very nice and easy to follow tutorial by Paul Charlton showing how to create a Bento grid layout in Bricks (and he also uses Advanced Themer).

This looks very cool. Three plugins which together provide a deep integration with Mastodon for WordPress.

Bricks 1 .9.9 was released. Some of the features include: syncing changes to global classes between editor windows (experimental), removed the experimental tag from the query sort and filter feature, speed improvements to remove lag, and an access control fix for the Contributor role.

There are some new features coming in PHP 8.4.

Felix Arntz shared an awesome set of MU plugins with custom functionality. These are tweaks and enhancements that he has put in place over the years and which he installs for his client site builds.

Along with their pitch to agencies, WP com has added a multi-site dashboard. In addition to being able to manage multiple sites, you can also see and manage your DNS records.

There was an enterprise showcase of 9 organizations that introduced WordPress along with a discussion of what / how WordPress was used.
