Following the user survey, the Generate team said they would give a full response related to support of Full Site Editing. They decide that FSE does not provide any promised advantages over the GeneratePress / GenerateBlocks combination, but that FSE imposes a number of limitations.

GenerateBlocks Pro 2.2 adds a new Site Header and Navigation blocks. Navigation is one of the weak points in the Site Editor, but most will probably use these with the GeneratePress theme builder.

These include Dynamic Tags that allow you to dynamically display site content anywhere inside an block HTML, the Query block in GenerateBlocks 2.0 Pro can now query and loop anything, and there is improved support for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Wow, the Generate team has done it again. The alpha versions of GenerateBlocks free and pro have been released. They were totally rewritten, made ultimately performant in that every thing is rendered before saving so no front-end rendering is needed. Also there is good attention to flexibility. For example, the new Query Loop can loop over ACF repeaters and other data as well as post queries. There is a new dynamic tag system for dynamic data and it is easy to register your own.
