A Block API was introduced in WordPres 6.4 and is being expanded in 6.5. It adds features similar to some of the hooks available for Classic themes. In this post Nick Diego gives a brief overview and provides a number of examples showing how to use it.

Congratulations to Mauro Cassani, the developer of ACPT, who has been working for the past several months on a large update of the plugin to version 2.0, which was just released.
ACPT (Advanced Custom Post Types) is a plugin that provides a complete solution for creating Custom Post Types, custom taxonomies, and custom fields. It is a relatively new solution, but has integrations with Bricks, Oxygen Breakdance, Zion Builder, Divi, Elementor, and more.

The release candidate for the next version of ACF is available. In addition to WordPress 6.5 support, it is also the release that will require an activated pro license to use pro features (regarding changes for plugins that include ACF Pro).
