The WordPress team “forked” the free Advanced Custom Fields plugin and renamed it Secure Custom Fields. To continue with Advanced Custom Fields you can download the plugin from the ACF website.

An update is available for a security vulnerability. You need to follow instructions for updating due to the ACF team being unable to update the plugin on WordPress org.

In the latest ACF live stream they demoed how the upcoming ACF 6.4 will support WooCommerce HPOS. This is the high performance Woo that uses custom database tables. It is great to see that ACF will be able to be used in that context.

ACF 6.3.6 is a security related updated that hardens security for shortcode use.

This update includes a fair number of security fixes found as the result of an external security audit. Kudos to the ACF team for having an external audit.

The recent ACF 6.3 expanded the conditional logic options for showing and hiding fields. Imran Siddiq has a short video that shows the enhancement.

ACF 6.3 Pro was released. It adds data validation for block fields and the ability to store block data in post meta. They are also bumped up the minimum PHP version to 7.4 and WordPress version to 6.0.
