Kadence has just released its new Kadence Advanced Header and Navigation Blocks. It is part of Kadence Blocks Free. You can use it with any block theme as well as with the Kadence classic theme. This is an awesome solution for block themes.

The Query Loop block is one of the most powerful core blocks. I like how they released support for Post lists with a flexible loop block instead of a more monolithic block with just a few set layouts. WordPress 6.7 is due out in November and will include a number of refinements and improvements to the Query Loop block to make it easier and more intuitive.

The NY Post is a very large WordPress multi-site instance that publishes about 300 articles a day, has many authors in the admin writing at the same time, and has a large number of simultaneous visitors. This WCUS presentation gives an overview of the techniques used to scale the site. It is something of a list of things that can go wrong and types of fixes.

I’m logging in and out of WordPress websites all day long. There is a free web browser extension called WordPress Admin Switcher that makes this quicker. It is a nice quality of life enhancement that works on Chrome and Chromium based browsers.

GutenKit is a new block collection from Wpmet. It has a ton of features and was created from the start to work in the Site Editor. This video includes a GutenKit overview and a walk-through using the Pro version to create Custom Post Type templates. The strengths and areas needing improvement are shown and discussed.

I was asking about creating color palettes in the Core Framework Facebook group and the Realtime Colors site was suggested. What is cool about this site is that you can set your colors using the bar at the bottom of the page and the site applies the colors you’ve chosen. Hat tip to Zeik Sparrow for the suggestion.
