The Spectra team released a new Advanced Loop Builder. Features include Instant search, flexible sorting, front-end filters, and AJAX pagination.

Spectra reaches the 1 million active installs milestone! It is the first Gutenberg block collection to do so. Congratulations to the Spectra team and Brainstorm Force.

One of my predictions for 2024 is on track to come true. On January 6th Spectra Blocks had 600k active installs. It just passed 900k, going from 800k in less than 2 months! Congrats to the Spectra team.

Adam Preiser shares a preview of some quality of life enhancements coming in the free Spectra blocks collection. Some of these enhancements seem to have been inspired by Cwicly. It would be nice if all of them were included in core Gutenberg.

Spectra Blocks has an update coming adding support for CSS Grid. Adam Preiser has been noodling on this new feature and shares a conceptual way to help understand how to create unique grid layouts. The concepts shown in the video can be used with any builder that supports CSS Grid.

Spectra Blocks has added a configurable Quick Action Bar that sits on the left side of the Gutenberg editor. It reminds me of the Cwicly Quick Inserter.

Spectra Pro v.1 has been released. If you purchased the Astra Growth Bundle then you can now download Spectra Pro from your account page. Note that there is also a version of the free version that you will need as I’m not sure it has been updated on WordPress org yet.
