The WordPress Five for the Future website has been redone using Gutenberg. It looks pretty sharp. I imagine it was done with core blocks and extra CSS.

Joost has a new Progress Planner plugin. This is not a plugin for agencies and freelancers, but rather for bloggers, entrepreneurs, and DIY site owners. Progress Planner gamifies content creation and site maintenance tasks for people who aren’t necessarily “pros” and might need guidance. There is currently a beta of the free version in the WP plugin directory and they are planning a pro version for the future.

In the latest ACF live stream they demoed how the upcoming ACF 6.4 will support WooCommerce HPOS. This is the high performance Woo that uses custom database tables. It is great to see that ACF will be able to be used in that context.

One of the goals of the third phase of Gutenberg is editor collaboration. Automattic has sponsored Kevin Jahns, who has worked to add collaboration to other tools, to work on adding collaborative editing to Gutenberg. He developed a framework for building collaborative apps called Yjs.
