This release improves AI abilities and allows for importing remote components via the Components Manager and when they are a template dependency. Media management is improved and there is a new File element for sharing files for download. Custom CSS in the class manager, conditional form actions, WooCommerce improvements and more fixes and features are making 2.4 look more like a 3.0.

If you haven’t updated your Elementor Pro site to version 4.2.2 or greater then best to do so now. The vulnerability allows for a remote code execution, but requires Elementor Pro (not free) and a form widget with a file upload field. Details in the report.

Roger Montti dug in with some research to try and understand how Claude’s watermark might work by looking at academic papers and related materials. My take-away is that it is not hidden images, text, or such, but rather the patterns and use of letters, words, and phrases somehow being a reflection of AI token usage. Hmm, “token usage” maybe being related to how AI selects words to use? In any event, it seems that it can largely survive editing and summation.
