Justin Tadlock is very excited about the Block Bindings API, even in its current state. He released a detailed tutorial on how to use it to create a Book Review site. When I looked over the tutorial it seems painful. Perhaps his approach would make sense for someone creating an enterprise or high priced build for a client. However, from an end-user’s point of view, this looks like a non-starter. Am I wrong? Of course, it is published on the developer blog.

In a new development, Patchstack is now providing general reviews of plugins. Here is their listicle comparing WordPress form plugins. Two of the categories are interesting in that they aren’t always included in comparison reviews: code quality and security. However, it is not clear to me if the criteria were evenly applied across plugins?
