The 19th issue of the WP Perspectives Newsletter has been published. There are currently nine Gutenberg block collections that work in the Site Editor. In this issue I rank and group them in relation to their support for dynamic data and also list some comparison points.

Kadence Blocks Pro has a new block, the Advanced Query Loop Block. I do a walkthrough in this video so you can see how it works. I also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the block.

The WordPress 6.5 roadmap – Kind of an interesting random mix. There is mention of a Custom Fields API, but reading on that one it seems up in the air and seat of the pants.

WordPress 6.4.2 is rolling out. It includes 7 bug fixes and 1 security update. The explanation for the security item is:

“A Remote Code Execution vulnerability that is not directly exploitable in core, however the security team feels that there is a potential for high severity when combined with some plugins, especially in multisite installs.”

For developers / entrepreneurs on a startup journey the “Build it in Public” approach is gaining a lot of attention. This article by group member Scott Murcott from Freemius has a good overview of what this might entail, the benefits, and some considerations.
